Young Financial Success (YFS) was founded on a simple yet powerful idea: every young person deserves the knowledge and tools to take control of their financial future. Too often, financial education is overlooked in schools, leaving teens and young adults unprepared to make smart money decisions. YFS was created to change that—to bridge the gap and provide young people with the financial confidence and skills they need to succeed.
The Inspiration Behind YFS
The journey of YFS began with Kimberly, the founder, whose passion for financial education started early. As a teenager, she loved finding ways to save money and make financial choices to set herself up for success. She also saw firsthand how a lack of financial knowledge could hold people back, leading to poor money decisions, unnecessary debt, and missed opportunities.
She had big dreams and recognized that many other young people had big dreams too. Whether it was starting a business, saving for the future, or investing, they didn’t always have the resources or guidance to make those dreams a reality.
Determined to change this, Kimberly set out to make a difference. She wanted to empower teens and young adults with the skills they needed to build wealth, manage money wisely, and take charge of their financial futures.
Turning a Vision Into Reality
Kimberly and her husband have always been finding ways to invest their money efficiently and have open conversations about investments and building wealth with their two daughters. As these conversations grew over the years, Kimberly realized that teenagers needed programs designed specifically for their interests and needs.
What started as a personal passion and family conversations soon grew into something bigger. Kimberly began developing programs that combined practical financial lessons with hands-on experiences, making learning about money exciting, engaging, and relevant to real life. She wanted YFS to be more than just an educational program, it needed to be something interactive that gave young people the confidence to take action.
Set Up For Success
Kimberly began by creating resources for teens and young adults to begin taking action to be financially successful. She has written two books about personal finances, one of which (Big Bucks) is targeted toward helping teens understand finances.
She has also created a few investing and entrepreneurship clubs to introduce teens and young adults to money management strategies. These clubs have been instrumental for young people to learn, grown, and improve on their new ideas and what they have learned.
Kimberly has also started a YouTube channel (Money Magic Revealed) to help give anyone access to simple, practical, money-saving strategies. Her desire is to make sure that investing and entrepreneurship strategies are only a click away. Through fun money tips and magic tricks, investing for the future can start now.
